Our story
The idea for ting goods was conceived on one of our trips to Asia sourcing products for Laura’s shop ting. On a visit to Jaipur we were lucky to meet Vipin in his small jewelry workshop, which he had just taken over from his father. Vipin works together with Parimal who is a master silversmith. After spending many hours in their studio observing their work, we grew increasingly impressed by their ability to turn our ideas into beautiful, simple pieces of jewelry, and we decided that we simply had to continue our collaboration.
Our philosophy
We have traveled extensively throughout Asia, and feel deeply indebted to the people and places we have visited. It is important to us to give back a little to this part of the world. This includes creating sustainable jobs, which employ locals and allow them to work in a positive environment with fair pay. We are convinced that fair trade and access to new markets can help change the existing unfair distribution of wealth, and create social change. We would be happy to make a small contribution towards this change.
ting goods also donates 5% of its annual profit to various NGOs helping local people break out of the cycle of poverty.
Team
Currently, ting goods operates mainly in 2 locations: the jewelry production and part of the design process take place in Jaipur, while everything else is handled in Berlin.
